Nelson Historical Trail

We are sorry that Bella and Taine missed out on our class trip to the Nelson Museum and the city walk around Nelson. It was great and we learnt a lot. Here we are at Bishop's School. 'Mr Green' was a very strict teacher, we started out with God Save the Queen and then we had to do some learning the old way- by just repeating what the teacher said. 'Mr Green' had a cane and a strap- that part was all a bit nasty.
Jessica and Haley were trying awfully hard to sit up straight and be good.
'Mr Green' took the class roll to see who was there- not at all like Allanah does on e-Tap on the computer.

Allanah thought our singing was pretty good.

THat looks like the BEST trip! I wonder how well kids learnt when they were being taught in that way? Did any of you like that style of learning? I was impressed by how well your class can sing 'God Save the Queen'. Had you been practicing a lot?
