Jacob's Yesterdays

These are my two axes. The one on the left is 50 years old. The one on the right is my Aussie speed that is 25 years old.
This is the biggest and heaviest axe I have. I use this in a sport called wood-chopping. It is worth 1,000 dollars! It is an adult axe.
This is my house. It is about 50 years old. The house is surrounded by an apple orchard. It doesn't mean we get free apples.

I thought $1000 was a bit steep but didn't like to suppose.

Looking forward to seeing you in action next Saturday.

A $1000 dollar axe? Wow! That is a crazy amount of money, but if you want to compete you have to have the best tools available.

Jacob, I'm an American college student who came across your blog entry while doing my homework. If you're learning to swing the big axe, I'm pretty impressed! Do you want to compete with other woodchoppers when you're older?

I love your pictures of your axes and I am thoroughly impressed that you compete in wood chopping tournaments! I can't believe that your ax is worth $1000 and that you have your two axes that are 50 and 25 years old!! Good luck in any of your competitions you might have!
