The Big Kahawai

This is Ruby and I with the huge kahawhai that we got in the set line. We also got two gunard, 1 snapper and then we found out that we had caught an eagle ray. So Dad suggested that we shouldn't've bought it in the boat because it was trying to sting him. Then he cut off the hook that the eagle ray was hooked up with and it got away.

If you want to look and see what it looks like under the water click here. Watch out for the shark.

Sean what there are two things that I really like about this recount that you have written. Firstly it is a great description of what you were up to and what you managed to achieve with your fishing, secondly and probably what I love the most is the picture that goes with it. Both yourself and your sister looked thrilled with the Kahawai, and no surprize as it looks a mighty fish! I really like the expression on both your faces! Just wonderful!

I just bought my first fishing license (I am 40) and am looking forward to going fishing. I don't live very close to an ocean so I will be fishing in our local river. I hope that I can be as successful as you on my fishing trips!

Wow! That looks like a really big fish. I'm really glad that you got the eagle ray back into the water before your dad got stung. That sounds really dangerous. You did a great job with you writing and your picture. I also really liked your paper video, that seems like a really neat tool. I like how you can see many parts of the ocean. Do you go fishing a lot? Is that the biggest fish that you ever caught?
