St John's First Aid

On Friday we had a somebody from St Johns came to Appleby School. We learnt how to bandage a minor wound. We were also asked to say our address and phone number so we would know what to say if we had to ring for an ambulance.

Luc, the cool thing is that sometimes teachers learn things from visits too! I hurt my hand yesterday and I remember when the St Johns had come to my school and taught my class about compression and elevation, and that really helped with the accident I had! And it worked too! So I am sure that your class was listening and will know what to do if there is an accident.

That is excellent advice, it is good to know what to do in an emergency.

Hi Luc,

We did some first aid training before we went on camp, last term. I hope you don't have to use your first aid but it is nice to know that you can look after someone and get help if they hurt themselves.
