Nelson Evening Mail

Our Appleby Fair was a raging success. It even made it to our local newspaper, The Nelson Mail. They have cut together a brilliant video of the day. There are lots of us in it so do have a look but you will have to be quick as I am not sure how long the link will work from the paper.

You will find the video down on the left hand side of the page. It's quite small but it does get bigger when you push play!

Dino throws himself in front of the camera! Look among the photos too.

Hi everyone! I'm a student teacher from Dr. Strange's technology class in Fairhope, Alabama. Just wanted to say what a wonderful and supportive community you have. Your school successfully included activities for all ages and family members. What a cool idea to include a petting zoo in your fair!

Best wishes,
May

Hey everyone. I'm Lacey Musgrove from lower Alabama (US) and I'm in Dr. Strange's class at the University of South Alabama. The Appleby Country Fair looked like so much fun! I watched the video and enjoyed it very much. That was the cutest little kid that wanted to see the pony. :) We have country fairs here but here you would mostly see pigs, chickens, cows and horses. Was that a llama? It looked like a fun daytime family outing. Congratulations on its success.

Hello Lacy

Yes it was a llama. If it gets angry it can spit at you.

Your fair looked like so much fun. Great job to those singing at the beginning of the video! How great to spend a day together with families and students having fun. My elementary school used to put on a "Spring Fling" and I looked forward to it every year. And we didn't even have baby animals! Great community building.

Peace,
Hillary
