How To Make A Pom-Pom

On Monday our class made Pom-poms and now we are going to show you how to make one. To make a Pom-pom you will need wool, two cardboard rings and a pair of scissors.
Then you tie the wool around the two cardboard rings and start winding and winding.
Then you keep on going till you have about a finger space left in the middle.
Start cutting in the middle of the cardboard all the way round.
Then you get some strong string and tie it between the two pieces of cardboard really tight. Remove the cardboard carefully

Thank You Keiran, Zach and Elliott - I am glad pom pom making hasn't changed, I used to love making them when I was younger - watch this space don't be surprised to see some Welsh Pom Poms in the near future - keep blogging.

Hi guys,
After seeing Elliott's post on making pom-poms I'm delighted that you are doing it in school too...but what are you doing with them??? I mentioned to Elliott that my mother used to make them into beasties, like insects and birds or even space creatures by sticking on eyes, and a mouth and tie a piece of elastic around the two discs before taking the cardboard off so they can dangle from somewhere they've been tied to. Worth a go, no? Whatever you do with them, have fun!
Keep up the good work.
