Skype Call with students in Canada

Today we had fun with our first Skype call with students in other parts of the world. We talked and learned with students from Prince George, British Columbia, Canada.
We had brainstormed some questions to ask the children and they had done the same for us. It was lots of fun and we learnt from each other. We learnt that it was snowing in Canada and it was yesterday there and they have seen wild bears!!!!

To see the video of of our conversation just push the little arrow on the bottom left of the video player.

AllanahK on Skype if you want to find us.

I really enjoyed listening to your conversation with your British Columbia friends. I had to laugh when they said they had to run if they saw a bear.

Hello everyone!

It is Mrs. Rice from Canada. I wanted to let you know that our class thought it was a BLAST! We were still talking about it today. In fact, a newspaper reporter came by and we are in the local newspaper. I'll have to send you a copy. All the best.

What a great way to use Skype. Your questions were great. Good to get a laugh out of something as simple as "What day is it?"
