Don't Let The Pigeon Cross The Road
Setting the Scene
Allanah showed us a web site called Cube Creator.
We made up a whole lot of sentences about places that we have been.
We cut out the six sides of the cubes and then we folded the edges and glued it together.

Reading our stories out loud
We used Sonic Pics on Allanah's iPad to record our stories this week. The audio and the pictures don't quite match up. We will try again next week.
Typing and Spelling Practice
This activity will not run your iPad unless you are using Puffin web browser but is fun to play on a laptop. You have to correctly type commands for the puppy to do.
You could share all the tricks you can make the puppy do in the comments.

Waimea
Last week Waimea wrote their stories and read them using Allanah's iPad. Here is what they wrote. We will look at how to add the audio this week. She used Book Creator to put the book together.

Kahurangi are looking at building characters. This web site is good practice for dong that. Think of a character in a book you have read and describe him or her.

Voicemail Comments from Broadlands School
If you look at a recent post from Kahurangi we recorded a little about ourselves. Children from Broadlands School, near Taupo, left a message for us on the Send Voicemail tab on the right hand side of our blog.
Here is their message. How very cool is that. Thank you Broadlands School.

Build Your Wild Self
Today we made characters in Build Your Wild Self and wrote about them.
Here is James' character story...
If I was a gaz-ele-rusa-gib-torto-sealion I would be able to hear very well with my big elephant ears. I like my beautiful tail that I can swim with. I really like my face. I think it is really cool. I like my shell because it will keep me safe. The thing about is my horn because you barge people with them,

Do you know who Kahurangi are talking about?
