Augmented Reality

Augmented Reality is when you use an iPad to interact with things that you can't see without an iPad.

We had some alphabet cards with animals on them that 'came alive' when we looked at them through the iPad app.

We each chose our favourite letter and animal from the AR Flashcard app.

There's a Monster at the End of This Book

Today we read the book, 'There's a Monster at the End of This Book', on Allanah's iPad. Then we practiced saying things in our monster voices.

The Boy Giant

On Tuesday Allanah read us the iPad eBook called The Boy Giant. Afterwards we all went outside and drew really big giant boys on the concrete with giant chalk. It was great to go outside in the sunshine and to draw in a way we don't get to do very often.

Help

Allanah's niece been visiting Nelson from where she lives in London. While she was here she showed her a photo of her and some friends she met while she was there. She said they were famous but Allanah didn't recognise them. Do you know who they are???
