Our Yesterdays Movie
Now we have all had a go at bluescreening I have put some of our bluescreen photos together as a movie. I think the old fashioned music helps it along as well.

Jessica, Bella, Kiera, Rachel, Jemma & Maisie's Yesterdays
This is me at the showgrounds in Richmond. All of the women are wearing dresses and all the men are wearing hats.
This is me in front of a photo of the Boulder Bank. It was a photo that we took on our Nelson Museum visit.
I am stood in front of the old Nelson Post Office in Trafalgar Street. Now we have a new Post Office there on the same site. The cars can park in the middle of the road like that there were less people and less cars about in the old days.
As you can see in the photo these are some horse-riding soldiers riding down Trafalgar Street in 1914. They are probably getting ready to go off to war.
This is the picture of me and it is when the settlers came and they started to build a village to live in. They burnt down the trees to start the village. As you can see they are working as hard as they can. Some are building, some are doing other stuff. This picture is in 1845.
This is me on the top of Spooner's Hill on the way to Murchison. I think that looks amazing. It is a painting painted by John Gully. He was a famous Nelson artist.

This is me by Auckland Point School. A train line used to run past where the school is now. Now all that area that used to be sea is land. They reclaimed the land by dumping lots of dirt into the sea. Now you can drive on it.
Here is me in front of a house in the olden days. It looks dark and scary but it would probably be OK to live in in the olden days.
This is me at Haulashore Island. There are saltwater baths at the bottom of the picture. They aren't there any more.
This is me at the Nelson Boys College before the earthquake and the fire. The steeple fell off in the Murchison earthquake.

Georgia's Yesterday
So here is a before and after photo.Player Of The Year
On Saturday we drove to Takaka. The game was at 10:00 in the morning. We lost by 7-10 to Takaka. It took one hour and twenty eight minutes. When we got to the rugby club we had to line up in our grades. When the guy called out my name I went up and got my 2 trophies from my coach.
These are my 2 trophies that I got. The rugby ball has my name on it but I have to give it back next year. The other one I have to keep. I won the trophy becaue I got player of the year. I was surprised when I got it and I was really happy.

Speeches
Today we listened to our practice speeches that we did for homework. Here are a few that we would like to share. We wanted to ask you for some feedback on how we might even further improve out speeches.
Can you either leave an oral comment or type them in the comments section of this post.
Thank you.
We really appreciate it.

Jordan's Yesterday
This old hickory golf club belonged to my great grandad. It was made in 1910. He must have been left handed.

Olivia, Carl, Kevin and Skye's Photos
I am a convict. I am working hard making Rocks Road. We had to cover the rocks up with dirt so that people could drive their cars around there.
Here am I looking over Nelson town. Can you see the part of Nelson that is now called The Wood? It was called that because there was a wood there.
This is me near the swamp that is now where the Queen's Gardens. In the old days lots of Nelson land was all swampy. The new settlers drained it.
This is me by the old church on Church Hill. As a dare a man took his horse and cart up the steps. The steps used to be made of wood. He was showing off.
Alex, Jake, Jordan & Nadia's Photos
I am at the top of Trafalgar Street looking down towards the clock on the old Post Office. The road is a dirt road and there a few of the first cars but they still used horses in those days.
I am looking over Nelson Harbour. You can see the old sailing ships coming in and Fifeshire Rock of course. This was before they put a cut in the Boulder Bank and ships had to sail past the rock to get into the harbour.
I am in Trafalgar Street. Can you see the old cathedral made of wood and the wooden steps going up to the cathedral. Now they are made of stone.
I am standing by the beach at Tahuna looking at Fifeshire Rock. The sun is going down.
