Find a Book's Reading Fit
Next time we go to the library trying putting the book's title into this search Book Wizard and find out whether it is a good fit for you.
My name is Hillary and I'm also a student of Dr. Strange's at the University of South Alabama. You can see my blog at http://polchowhedm310fall2009.blogspot.com/
That is a really nice tool. I was wondering if students in your school participate in reading programs? Around here lots of schools take part in the "Accelerated Reader" program or "Book It".
In New Zealand we teach children to read according to their reading ability in a differentiated sort of programme. In my class I have four reading groups grouped together for instructional reading. Our teaching approach is a blend of whole language and phonics.
